At the end of my run I couldn’t resist and step onto fresh and untouched powder snow to take this picture. I have had an eye on this spot for quite some time now and the conditions were almost perfect to test the night shooting capabilities of both iPhone 12 Pro (i12P) and GoPro Hero 9 (GP9). I have seen few incredible night shots taken with both i12P and GP9, but have been sceptical. Could the i12P really take stunning photos in low light conditions? even hand held? And what about the GP9? Well, below see for yourself.

The first two photos I have taken hand held while performing a break dance headspin – just joking! The third one I took with the GP9, all from more or less the same location. In Lightroom I have done some minor tweaks in Tone and adjusted the vertical distortion. I’ll leave you with the photos and let you do the commenting. I’ll just say that the iOS software controlling photography is nuts! Crisp and clear hand held shot photos with exposure times around 1 sec!
